Originally constructed in 1982 by a respected local veterinarian, 312 Cannon Blvd served the community for decades before becoming available. Palmetto Properties identified the opportunity to revitalize this well-located property, transforming it into a modern, functional space suitable for today’s tenants.

 

Project Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Renovation: Undertook a full-scale renovation, updating both interior and exterior elements to meet contemporary standards while preserving the building’s character.

207 N Spring Street

Originally built in 1970 by a well-known local attorney, our Spring Street property stands as one of the most structurally sound buildings we’ve had the privilege to rehabilitate. Strategically located in the heart of Shelbyville, it now serves as the cornerstone of Palmetto’s operations.

 

The upper level houses our headquarters—where strategy, design, and investment decisions are made daily. Below, the ground floor is occupied by Northcutt Survey, a trusted local firm and long-standing tenant whose presence adds value and professional synergy to the space.

 

This mixed-use property exemplifies our approach: preserve what’s solid, elevate what’s possible, and create long-term value through intentional design and strategic use.

300 N Jackson - Dwell

Built to showcase both historic character and refined design, this mixed-use property underwent a full renovation that carefully balanced preservation with contemporary updates:
 

 

  • Preservation First: Original built-in features—rich woodwork, custom shelving, and architectural details—were retained wherever they added authentic charm.

  • Thoughtful Enhancements: Walls were opened to improve flow and functionality while maintaining sightlines to vintage elements; finishes were selected in a timeless palette that blends classic tones with modern textures.

  • Functional Refresh: The space was updated with new lighting, millwork, flooring, and mechanical systems—all without compromising the building’s original essence.

  • Designer-Ready Showcase: Today, Dwell Fine Interiors, head of Palmetto Design Studio, occupies this space as both a boutique showroom and creative hub—demonstrating our ability to elevate a space that marries past quality with future relevance.

 

Outcome: The completed space stands as a testament to our approach—honoring the craftsmanship of the past while ensuring the design serves today’s retail and experiential needs.
